Summer Setacolor Play Day

We decided to have a summer play day to do sunprinting. A group of us got together with kids ours and borrowed from siblings. Lol.....

This is 1/2 the room on their tables.
Maggie working hard on her piece.

Can you tell the kids had the run of the place.

Morgan was out checking the progress on one of her pieces.

Ginny was looking at all the different things used on the fabric.....leaves, spaghetti, rice, lentil beans, washers, stickers.....the list goes on.

One of Hellene's pieces.

Margaret loves her stars and spirals.

Lance, my nephew, loved the washers.

The leaves didn't show too much when this one was done. Oh well.

Lots of New Stuff

So much new stuff......new fabrics, new roving, new quilt, new socks.......

This is a batch of the new Kaffe Fassett and Joel Dewberry fabric we just got in from Westminster. It is actually what our online sale is this week. You get 15% off if you buy it from http://www.fiberonawhim.com/

More of the Joel Dewberry fabrics.

New colors of Lorna's Laces roving for needlefelting and wet felting.

Just finished and hung this small wallhanging I designed this morning. It is 22" w x 27" l. It is made from a panel in Lonni Rossi's new line of fabrics called Graceful Geishas with the border being from her older line Asian Harmonies.

I got asked to teach a sock class here so I decided to make up my own pattern for them. One is a simple stockinette stitch with the other being a swirling rib. These were fun and a challenge to write myself but I feel it turned out well.

Wow I'm bad!!

Well I've certainly fallen off on the postings huh?? Mom(Jan) went on vacation right after that last posting all the way through the 4th of July. I should look at her and say that I was having to do all her work too and couldn't post anything right?!! She'd probably just laugh. Her trip up to the New England states went as smoothly as possible. From Boston all the way up in to Maine. I have to laugh at her details of her Whale Watching cruise. All she can say is that she was thankful for the Dramamine!!!

We've been busy this week with lots of fun stuff from the Beaney/Littlejohn workshop, private knitting classes and a guild meeting here today. Hopefully tomorrow I should have some cool new pics of great fabric. At least I hope so as they sent it to the wrong destination last week and they are trying to find it!! Didn't know we could get lost so easily.

Hope everyone is having a great day. I'm off to photograph some socks I just finished and to write up the patterns for them.
