Kristin off to Ohio

Yes, Jan just returned from Ohio and now it's my turn! She had a great time meeting up with people she hasn't seen in years, meeting new people and learning lots of little tidbits from the lecturers.

I'm now off to Columbus for TNNA (yarn market). I get to go and see all the new product that is being introduced for fall. It is always fun to see if there are any new color trends. Also a perk for us shop owners is sometimes publishers have the authors set up for signings so that we can meet them and get a copy of their new book. I have the whole afternoon on Friday free so maybe I'll go see Quilt National for myself.

Jan and I are bummed because we just got our regrets letters from IQA for the Full Bloom exhibit. Congrats to the 36 that were accepted though as we know each of them has got to be lovely. Here are pictures of the two we entered. One is a joint adventure for our local shop hop where we had to interpret all the other shop owners blocks into one quilt. The other was my 3rd ever quilt....at a point I really thought I'd bit off more than I could chew as I made the vase.
